JSC Tae Kwon Do is Milton’s premier Tae Kwon Do center and has been serving the
Milton, Ontario community since 2003. JSC offers traditional and Olympic Sport Tae
Kwon Do for both children and adults. We pride ourselves in offering fun and

Tae Kwon Do is the worlds most popular martial art in terms of the number of
practitioners. Its popularity has resulted in the varied development combining combat
techniques, self-defence, sport, exercise, meditation, and philosophy.
Benefits of JSC Tae Kwon Do
Stress Relief
Tae Kwon Do training is challenging and exciting. When practising Tae Kwon Do, your
mind will be occupied by the physical and mental goals of the lesson. During class the
students mind will be busy with challenges and therefore experience a detachment from
the tensions and problems of daily life. For this reason, as a student at JSC Tae Kwon
Do School, you will learn that traditional Tae Kwon Do drills and exercises have a
meditative effect on the students.
Learn Self Defence
Tae Kwon Do is a complete system of self defence perfected in the Korean army before
it spread throughout the world. Tae Kwon Do's combination of kicks, blocks and hand
techniques makes it an effective system of self defence for adults of any age. For those
who wish to test their skills, Tae Kwon Do is also an Olympic sport. Tournament
competition is one of the many options of a JSC Tae Kwon Do student and can even
lead to a spot on an Olympic team!
Lose Weight
Tae Kwon Do classes consistently focus on warm up exercises before stretching, as
well as kicking and punching drills, blocks, footwork and traditional forms working all
major muscle groups of the body. Tae Kwon Do training will aid the practitioner to gain
greater aerobic and anaerobic capabilities, better muscle tone and lower percentage of
body fat. It also promotes discipline and self control often leading to a well balanced
healthful diet.
